Tassie’s Most Beautiful Lavender Farms
I know what you’re thinking: what’s so cool about lavender? It’s just a kind of…plant??
Well, like, yeah, it’s a plant, but as far as plants go, it’s a cool one. First off, it looks really nice - striking rows of lavender flowers…who doesn’t want to look at that? Secondly, it smells amazing. Thirdly, it’s a cool little activity you can do while you’re traipsing through Tasmania.
Sooo don’t be a haterrr - here are some of Tasmania’s lavender farms you can visit!
Bridestowe Lavender Estate
Nabowla, TAS
Bridestowe is arguably Tasmania’s most popular lavender farm and for good reason: it’s the largest lavender farm in the Southern Hemisphere, famous for the spectacular view of the lavender in bloom in December and January.
It’s located a 50-minute drive from Launceston, in Tasmania's scenic North East and well-worth the drive! They even have lavender ice creaaaaam, a cute lil cafe, and obviously a gorgeous backdrop for plenty of photo ops.
Port Arthur Lavender
Port Arthur, TAS
Port Arthur Lavender is nestled within 18 acres of lavender, rainforest, and lakes overlooking the ocean at Long Bay - stunning! They even have a little visitor’s centre that showcases all the uses of lavender, along with yummy treats and essential oils.
You can enjoy the ocean views from their cafe or go for a stroll along the lavender trail. They also have a little shop in Richmond, if you’re around that area and on the hunt for some lavender-themed gifts!
Campo de Flori
Huon Valley, TAS
Campo de Flori is a lavender and olive farm nestled in the Huon Valley (+bees, according to their website). It’s a vast, sprawling estate and they do cute little tours, but they’re not always open to the public, so make sure to call them ahead of time. They even have a cool pottery/ceramic studio if you’re into that!
